This morning I heard that a dear friend recently had a terrifying ordeal just before leaving South Africa to fly home, having been tied up and robbed at gunpoint. Physically she was unhurt, but it will take a very long time for the mental scars to heal. I made this card quickly to let her know she will be in my thoughts and prayers, and stamped inside it this lovely Apache blessing:
May the sun bring you new energy. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries. May the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently towards the world and know the beauty all the days of your life.
What more could her friends ask for her?
The picture of The Lavender Fairy is another from an old diary; striped background paper by Flowersoft; words from 'Just a Note' set by JustRite Stampers. The purple layer was sprayed with Adirondack Colorwash and a Glimmer mist by Tattered Angels, but I made it so long ago I have no idea which colours I used.
